A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average

5-foot-10, 145 with a slight build. Wide upper half that projects to handle more size/strength. Offensively hits from a wide base with feet square to pitcher and upper half slightly coiled in. Back leg starts with some flexion and stays bent as he steps forward into a toe-tap load. Retracts his scap slightly to create some stretch against front side before launching swing. Moves well through his core and accelerates barrel with easy hip rotation. Flatter barrel path with minimal lift. More of a line-drive, up the middle approach. Stays inside of the ball. At SS, showed quick & fluid actions defensively. Very light on his feet with consistent momentum working through the baseball. Receives in center of body & flows into an easy exchange into throwing motion. Loose, whippy arm. On the mound, the athleticism & arm talent translate. Pitches with a slower, controlled tempo before getting into landing and ramping up the intent. Shows some bend on back leg during his leg lift. Slight drop and drive action as he extends glove side & works down the mound. Slight cross action in landing but it works for him due to his ability to rotate over his front side. Short, compact arm action with a quick path into a ¾ release. Reasonable to expect more velo to come with his arm action as he adds size/strength.
