Game Performance

Notes

Comments

2/14/21

Physically: 6’4 215 lb LHP/1B ran an 8.14 laser timed 60-yard dash. Has good physical size with natural strength that plays in all areas of his game.

Offensively: Starts with a simple stance and has his hands preloaded back around his head. Does not have much unnecessary movement as he fires the barrel into the hitting zone. Control his large frame and the barrel nicely. Show adjustability on pitches around the zone.

Defensively: Large frame uses long strides to approach the ball. Arm works loose and whippy when throwing to the bases. Large target to throw to.

Pitching: Pitching mainly out of the stretch, he maintains control of his large frame throughout the pitch. Uses a quick leg lift and a short and clean arm action to deliver the pitch. Mixed in a CV and CH to accompany his FB.

7/15/20

Physical: Solid and projectable 6-foot-3, 191-pound frame with present feel for his body.

Pitching: LHP - Worked from the stretch only -- middle of the rubber; medium leg lift with coil into the backside at the top of the stack, landed with crossfire upon footstrike creating funk from a high ¾ slot with average lower half drive. FB ranged from 70-75 mph with a top spin of 2010 rpms per Trackman Baseball. Mixed in a solid 66-68 mph breaker with 1/7 shape and late depth to it. Countered with a 67-69 mph CH that was thrown with near FB arm speed / needs more of a velocity difference between the two.
