2/8/20:�Listed at 6-foot, 175 pounds the Dominican product plays with confidence and elite athleticism. The lean frame is still undersized as he still can fill out, but the same defensive prowess we saw in the fall is still there. Cerda plays the infield, under control and always sure of himself with mobility and above average footwork to go along with a plus arm. The production at the plate is still to be determined as he sometimes lacks intent through the swing instead focusing on just making contact. As Cerda accumulates at-bats during the season that ability at the plate should trend upwards.

10/23/19�- The flashy shortstop had the full game on display, impressing in the field and at the plate. The quick twitch Chipola product played the infield with reactive first steps and a confident glove. He attacks short hops and keeps the feet moving at all times, and through the baseball. At the plate the contact ability shows as he bears down and puts the ball in play. The line drive ability is not sacrificed as he has the strength to backspin balls to the gap.
