A scrappy-type player, Martel played a big role in ABC’s win, accounting for three RBI’s on a single and a sac fly, while also showing quick hands on the front end of two double plays. He tends to sit too far on his bag leg at times, but when he drives forward he shows the ability to hit line-drives all over the diamond. While he’s not overly physical, Martel finds ways to get the job done.
