The arm works appropriately.  The bat has a tee exit velocity of 86 mph. The stance is slightly open, uses a toe tap as the ball approaches. The hands work freely and the path is direct to the ball. Strong and flat to the ball. Accelerates through the ball after contact. On the mound, the fastball touched 80 mph. The spin pitch sat at 65 mph. The changeup is 70 mph. The knuckle ball sat at 64 mph, good action to it. The delivery has crossfire to it, the slot is above ¾. The frame is thick and durable, the arm works free and clean. The tracking is done well.  Ran a 8.0 sixty at the event.

6-foot, 205-pound left-handed hitting corner infielder, showed well with the bat at the event.  The bat has a tee exit velocity of 83 mph, the hands are strong. Had 2 hits in the game as the bat plays. Sets up with his feet wide, small pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches the hitter. The path is slightly uphill, the hands work well, and he has leverage on the bottom half of the swing. Flattening the path will aid his offensive development. The glove is solid at the hot corner, the feet need appropriate prep steps to them to aid his defense. Threw 77 mph across the diamond with a clean arm and plenty of strength to it. Ran a 8.4 sixty at the event, will have to improve as he matures.

5-foot-10, 196 pounds, broad shoulders capable of holding upper body strength, projectable. On defense, Florio lacks foot speed but reacts well to the ball off the bat. He has the hands to stick at third base, and an average arm for the position that could eventually improve to above average. Throws from a high ¾ slot. At the plate, his feet were even with his shoulders to go with a slightly open stance. There is power in his game that is likely to continue growing as he matures. He’s just beginning to tap into the power provided by his frame. His hands work high but get to the ball quickly. Improving his conditioning will help increase athleticism. Overall, Florio has the tools and skills to stick at third base with a developing power profile.
