Connor Thibault: SS/RHP, (2024) Mt. St. Charles Academy, RI. 5-foot-6, 160-pound slim frame. (59.6 mph bat speed average). (19.3 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride. Has above average bat speed, level swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found some barrels with loud contact. Aggressive approach. Athletic in the infield, his best throw was registered at 75 mph; had developing footwork, soft hands, and a packing exchange. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Used a quick arm action with an-over-the-top slot while showing consistent accuracy to the base. Above average on the mound, showing good arm speed he had a high ¾ arm angle with a clean arm action. Drop-and-drive feel type pitcher who shows high effort. Showed strong balance point and in line shoulders. Lands square with a clean finish. (Max spin 2015; Avg 1925).
5-foot-6, 140-pound athletic lean build. Above average at the plate, Thibault recorded an exit velocity of 76 mph. (57.50 mph bat speed average). (18.41 mph hand speed average). Starts in an athletic balanced stance with a rhythmic smooth load, then uses a short controlled stride. Bat speed is above average, has a short upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Had tons of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Above average in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 65 mph; showed a twitchy exchange, next level hands, and quick fluid feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. From a ¾ slot, showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a short arm action. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.7. Above average on the mound, showed quick arm speed, also used a high ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who uses easy effort. During his delivery balance point is tall with even shoulders. Lands square. Sat with his fastball at 69-73 mph; has consistent control and running sinking action. (Max spin 1980; Avg 1808). Has control low in the zone and slurvey action on his 1/7 curveball (60-62). (Max spin 1966; Avg 1882). Shows arm side command and fading action on his changeup (66-67).
