Griffin Crain: OF/LHP, (2024) Bishop Hendricken, RI. Louisville Commit, 5-foot-10, 170-pound lean athletic frame. Athletic and above average at the plate, Crain recorded an exit velocity of 91 mph. (71.5 mph bat speed average). (21.3 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced wide stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed was quick developing, used a simple loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Athletic and throwing from the outfield, he displayed power in his arm with throws up to 88 mph;had a natural exchange, twitchy developing hands, and athletic consistent footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a high ¾ slot and a very quick arm action. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.28.
