6-foot, 200 pounds, solid athletic frame. Sloped shoulders, above average strength in hands and legs, put together well, already filling out. Even setup at the plate, loose strong hands, bat starting in a flat position. Smaller leg kick into a toe tap for timing. The swing is down to level to up, with more of a pull approach, hard contact in batting practice. Recorded a 79 mph tee exit velocity, ran well, clocked at 7.25 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, threw 72 mph from the outfield, arm action is short, quick and clean, working out of a natural 3/4 slot. The footwork is quick in transfer using more of a shuffle. Showed good quick feet at first, was on time with picks and receiving the baseball. The arm was clocked at 69 mph across the diamond. Off the mound, mixed in a three pitch mix, fastball touched 73 mph, along with at 66 mph curve ball. The changeup is still a work in progress, clocked at 63-65 mph. Delivery is simple, working from stretch position, low to high hands. The arm action is clean, fastball showing some arm side sink. Look for velocity to continue to climb. Interesting prospect, projects more as an outfielder.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.25
5-foot-10, 205 pounds, longer limbs on a lean, athletic frame, slight slope in shoulders, plenty of room to tack on strength in the coming years. Ran a 7.71 sixty yard dash. Sets up even in the box, with a bend at the knees, and hands that work high. Good strength in the wrists. Minor leg kick that rocks back to trigger the swing, smooth one-hand finishes. Bat path is level-up and DeCarmo showed an ability to hit to the gap consistently during batting practice. His tee exit velocity was measured at 73 MPH, a number that should hike up over the next few seasons. Working out as an outfielder, DeCarmo throws from a ¾ slot. Velocity on throws to the plate were measured up to 66 MPH. Will need to sharpen the footwork and reads in the future. Would also do well to clean up throwing mechanics, as the body can fight the arm at times sapping potential velocity. Profiles best in a corner outfield spot. Interesting bat first prospect in the 2021 class.
