5-foot-8, 151-pound athletic lean build. Solid at the plate, Mensah clocked an exit velocity of 89 mph. (67.81 mph bat speed average). (25.33 mph hand speed average). Started in a tall balanced stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a short stride. Bat speed was explosive, had a short upward swing plane and level finish. Found lots of barrels with loud contact. Line drive approach. Projectable in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 78 mph; has quick fluid feet, soft hands, and a natural exchange. Fielded the ball one hand with athletic movement laterally. Had a short arm action and a ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.09. Raw on the mound, showed quick arm speed, also used a loose arm action with a ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and shows easy effort. He has downhill shoulders and a strong balance point.
