Nathan Bautista: C/OF, (2024) LaSalle Academy, RI. 5-foot-7, 165-pound athletic frame. (65.6 mph bat speed average). (20.2 mph hand speed average). Starts in a strong open stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Had explosive bat speed, uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found lots of barrels with tons of loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Behind the plate, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 72 mph; has next level hands, a quick clean transfer, and smooth consistent feet. had quick feet and transfers on his throw downs, recording a 1.88-2.12 pop time. A lot of flexibility and staggered athletic setup. Showed a short very quick arm action and athletic slot with consistent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.25.

5-foot-7, 165-pound. In the box, the left-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 79mph. (68.4 mph bat speed average). (20.6 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic balanced stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled stride. Had a simple flat swing plane and a good extension on his finish. Gap to gap approach. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.31.  Defensively, advanced behind the plate. The hands are strong on the catch, secures the pitch. The arm action is short and quick, clocked at 70 mph, comes out of the hand with ease. Looked to be super comfortable catching bullpens, working well with the pitchers.

Arm Velocity: 70 mph

5-foot-7, 155-pound, strong, solid athletic frame. A left-handed hitting catcher, who showed well again, super balanced at the plate, a line drive stroke to all fields. The swing is short and crisp to contact, an advanced approach for a young player.  The hands are inside the baseball, barrel is in the zone for a long time, had an exit velocity of 80 mph, runs very well for a young catcher at 7.22. Look for the offensive game to continue to climb, its simple. Behind the plate, shows quick feet, quick transfer, had a pop time of 2.10-2.2.25, with an arm clocked at 71 mph. All throws are on the bag, with downhill flight to them. Moves well behind the plate, hands are strong on the catch, can block, with quickness to the scramble.

5-foot-7, 140-pounds, strong, solid athletic frame for his age and class. A left-handed hitting catcher, at the plate, feet are even, wider than shoulder width, hands are loose and relaxed at shoulder height. The stride is under control, gains ground, hands are back on foot stride, shows a level path through the zone. The approach is to the middle of the field is solid line drives. The exit velocity is advanced for a 2024, clocking in at 81 mph. Runs well for a younger catcher, ran a 7.52 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, feet are quick, gains ground behind the plate, is inline on foot strike. The pop time was clocked at 2.26, all throws were on or close to the bag. The arm was clocked at 67 mph, arm action is short quick, with little wasted movement. Good looking young left-handed catcher, continues to impress.

Arm Velocity: 67 mph

5-foot-7, 140-pound, average athletic frame for a 2024. Shows good strength in his hands and wrists. A left-handed hitting catcher, showed very well on both sides of the field. At the plate, is super smooth, hands and swing work with easy effort, more of middle to pull side approach. Starting weight on backside, transfer to front, making contact with a firm front leg. Showing an understanding of going to opposite field at times. The exit velocity is advanced, clocked at 83 mph, hard contact. Defensively, had a a pop time of 2.20 arm was clocked at 64 mph, will need to add additional arm strength. Setup behind the plate is athletic , moves well, looks to block dirt ball. Solid looking player, going tom be an offensive threat down the road.

Arm Velocity: 63 mph
