5-foot-5, 175-pound, thick, strong athletic frame for his age. Worked out as a hitter and left-handed pitcher at this event. Off the mound, has a controlled delivery, hands start and stay high, gets to a good gather, with coil to his clean athletic leg raise, is compact. The arm action is longer, works out of a ¾ slot. The fastball was located extremely well to the glove side, clocked at 70-71 mph, comes out of his hand well, with some late life to it as it reaches the plate. The breaking ball has a chance to be an out pitch at some point, has the proper shape and tilt to it, clocked at 60-61 mph, the break is late with depth to it. The changeup was clocked at 66-68 mph. Looked to be very comfortable and worked quickly and efficiently pitch to pitch. At the plate, hits from the right side, starts with a wide base, hands are loose at the letters, bat starting in a flat position. The swing is down to level, could get the lower half back side going a bit more. Finishes the swing at the shoulders with two hands, could stay through it a tick longer, barrel is in and out quick at times. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 74 mph. Projects for me off the mound, look for him to take a jump at some point.
