Position: RHP
Physical Profile/Projection: 6-2, 195lbs. Large frame gives him potential for additional development. Will need to add functional strength in spots to reach his potential projection.
Delivery/Mecanics: Smooth consistent tempo. Small rocker step, balance point at the belt. Tall and fall delivery. Full arm action on the backside. OTT arm slot. Extends down the mound with moderate effort and falls off the mound to the glove side at finish.
FB: 84 mph w/ avg. 2315 rpm's. FB showed riding life, jumped out of the hand and got onto hitter quickly. Located in the zone.
CB: 75 mph w/ avg. 2311 rpm's. Confident in the pitch, threw it in any count in both of his outings (T24 scout day and Unsigned Sr) pairs well with his FB and drew swing and miss.
CH: 77 mph w/ avg. 2286 rpm's. Third offering, fading life out of the hand.
Position: 1B/RHP
Body: 6-foot-2, 174-pound. Moderate projection remaining, Long limbs and strong lower half.
Hit: Balanced stance, weight pushed slightly to the back side. Medium leg kick and stride time the swing. Bigger hand load pushes the barrel into a vertical position before he launches. Downhill path to contact, fishes flat through the zone. Limited rotation with the lower half.
Power: 85 mph exit velocity. Line drive approach.
Defense: Sure hands at 1B. Choppy footwork. Quick lateral movements, puts himself into a consistent fielding position. Avg. transfers and developing footwork around the bag.
Arm: 74 Infield velocity. long arm action with accurate throws.
Speed: 7.53
Delivery: Balance point at the belt. Swings open from the balance point and lands with the toe on target. Linear delivery. Full arm action to an OTT arm slot. Lands square with good extension. Medium effort in the delivery. Consistent control.
FB: 82 mph. FB showed life out of the hand and good control. Was able to locate the pitch to both sides of the plate and elevate with intent.
CB: 69-72 mph. Played well off the FB. Showed 10/4 slurve shape with some bite present. Swing and miss potential.
CH: 69-69 mph. CH as a third pitch with feel.
Summary: Solid RHP with upside on the mound. Showed feel for multiple pitches working a clean inning. Repeated his delivery well and pounded the zone. Line drive approach as a hitter with a steep bat path. Developing feel around the bag as a 1B.
