9/27/20

6-foot-5, 220-pound corner infielder continued to showcase some high-ceiling power, hitting some towering tape measure long balls during his BP round. XL frame with present, proportional strength.  He dominated the Trackman leaderboards in exit velocity (Avg: 90.3 | Max: 106.4 mph) and distance (Avg: 309 ft | Max: 410 ft).  Balanced, controlled stance with great pull-side power, driving balls into the power alleys.  Excellent bat speed and good rotational acceleration to handle tougher pitching.  Defensively, slots as offensive first baseman with solid hands and defense at the corner.

4/23/20

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound third baseman made his presence known at All-State Showcase.  Lawrence put on a tower power display at the dish with consistent loud contact and ball just jumping off the barrel.  Balanced swing with short, simple load followed by electric bat speed.  Can harness the power to all fields with good spray chart.  At the hot corner, moved well for big league frame and fielded ball out front with light hands and working well through the ball.  Ample arm strength to stay at 3B, an offensive slugger who cracked into our latest rankings.

1/20/20

6-foot-5, 220-pound  projectable frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed his power ability with an exit velocity of 92 mph. Started in an open stance with a small load, then used a short stride right before his swing. Electric bat speed and a simple swing plane, he ends his swing with extension on his finish. Barreled up some balls during his round. Line drive approach. In the infield, showed an ability to throw across the field at 80 mph; had rhythmic footwork, a quick exchange and sure hands. Showed a loose arm action with a ¾ slot.
