6-foot-1, 180-pound, LHH showed very much the same as we have seen him in recent events, still using a wider and even stance with that relatively high hand positioning, utilizes the same load we’ve seen, swing plane was a little flatter and produced some hard hit balls including some gap to gap pop toward right-center. Defensively, worked fine around the bag with average hands and footwork and used a pretty efficient exchange to work into a short arm action through an over-the-top slot, throws were pretty accurate.
9/18/16 - 60 Time: 7.69, Position Velocity: IF-68, Exit Velocity: 84
5-foot-10, 190-pound, LHH hits from an even and slightly wider stance than we saw from him at the Top Prospect Games in June, similarly higher hand positioning as we’ve seen, abbreviated and slightly smaller leg kick and stride with a lowering and push back of his hands to get loaded, swing plane is steep to the ball with a short finish, hit some balls very hard to pull side with some line drives toward CF. Defensively, showed average hands and footwork around the bag, gives a little hop right before getting into fielding position that can keep him slightly on his heels, gather and exchange takes some time and leads to a shorter arm action through a high ¾ slot.
6/15/16 - 60 Time: 7.65, Position Velocity: IF-68, Exit Velocity: 82
5'10, 190-pound, LHH hits from a balanced and even stance and begins with some fairly high hand positioning, uses a bigger and quicker leg kick and a lowering and push back of his hands to get himself loaded. Lower half is engaged by the leg kick and spins a little bit to get through the zone, could help his balance and strength in lower half to stride out a little further than he does currently, bat path is flat through the zone and showed the ability to hit the ball to all fields, handsy swing doesn’t create much power at this time. Defensively, showed good footwork around the bag and some athletic ability, good hands led to a long but clean exchange and a long arm action from an over-the-top angle to produce accurate throws with average carry.
1/18/16 - 5-foot-10, 190-pound left-handed hitter hits from a very balanced stance, small and quick leg kick and a smooth and subtle wrap combine to provide a solid load position, does a good job firing his lower half, will glide a little bit from time to time, short swing and low line drive approach come from a fluid rhythm that produced an 81 mph exit velocity off the tee. Best 60 time to date is 7.65. Defensively, played a solid 1B and showed experienced footwork around the bag, some accuracy from a ¾ arm slot was also prevalent from 3B, long arm action and a 71 mph position velocity across the infield.
