9/10/17 - Max FB: 88, FB (84-87), CB (70-73), CH (76-77) 6-4, 230-pound RHP shows potential for 3 avg or better pitches. Built like a bulldog, pitches from a full windup w/ 3/4 release and well tempo'd delivery. Repeats mechanics well for someone his size. FB has consistent above avg life, showing run and sink. CB flashes plus rotation w/ above avg depth. When he gets the CB in a zone consistently, becomes very difficult to hit. Throws the CH w/ armspeed and flashes fade and sink. Will be at least avg w/ reps. Fills the zone, still learning difference between strikes and quality strikes. Profiles as a high level potential starter.
6/13/17 - Max FB: 87, FB: 83-87, CB: 68-71, 6-foot-4, 230-pound, RHP brings a commanding presence to the mound that immediately draws attention. A tall and stout build, he brings a lot to the table with room to improve and grow. He works with good tempo and stays confident and smooth. His fastball can show cut or run, as the movement tends to favor whatever side of the plate he locates it. Curveball can be very sharp with 11/5 shape that can fool a hitter. Hansen is one of the top RHPs in the 2019 class and earned a spot on the Future Games roster from his performance
7/27/16 - Max FB: 83, FB: 80-83, CB: 63-66, 6-foot-3, 205-pound, RHP was very much the same as we saw him at the Top Prospect Games, polished and under control, used good tempo throughout his delivery as well as his approach on the mound, kept everything in sync and remained efficient with his movements, pretty athletic and good sized kid should have more in the tank down the road, pretty long and quicker arm action comes through a high ¾ to over-the-top slot. Fastball seemed heavy through the zone and showed some good run in on the hands of righties, curveball can be thrown for a strike in any count and showed sharp 11/5 shape with fastball arm speed.
6/14/16 - Max FB: 83, FB: 81-83, CB: 64-66, CH: 70, 6'3, 200-pound, RHP proved to be one of the most polished pitchers in the entire event by working with good tempo and a smooth and efficient delivery, Hansen delivered pitches with a loose arm action through a high ¾ - over-the-top angle and was able to fill up the zone with all three pitches, leg lift and stride stay in line and transition smoothly into his plant and release, could certainly get more use out of a strong lower half that could add velo and some movement. Fastball showed some very slight run but was kept low in the zone throughout his outing, Hansen was able to hit the low and outside corner to a righty more consistently than most high school pitchers, curveball showed 11/5 action and was thrown for strikes in any count. Hansen showed well and certainly seems to have some considerable upside.
