The 6-foot, 195-pound backstop has made tremendous strides in the past four months, showcasing some elite rotational acceleration (Avg: 26.4 G, Max: 30.2 G) and much improved bat speed (Avg: 70.1, Max: 72.1).  More consistency and strength in the swing, on plane early and often (On Plane Efficiency Avg : 82%, Max: 87%)  leading to an array of hard contact.  Increase in arm strength behind the dish with similar pop time and identical home to first metric.  Crowder isn’t a complete product yet, but he’s beginning to take shape and put himself in position to make a summer push.  

C/1B, (2021) Grace Christian, TN. 6-foot, 195-pound solid frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 88 mph. Began in a wide tall stance with a small load, then used a short stride. High finish. Pull side approach. Throw downs to second topped out at 78 mph; showed soft hands, a clean exchange and consistent feet. Showed a compact arm action and an-over-the-top slot. 

6-foot, 185-pound solid frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 79 mph. Began in a wide stance with a small load, then used a short stride before his swing. Has a simple swing plane and has high finish. Was quick and efficient behind the plate, producing pop times of 1.93-2.01He produced a position velocity of 74 mph during throw downs; low setup, has soft hands and consistent footwork. Arm action was compact.
