The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Walters State Commit was 78-84. While Hailey did not have impeccable command as many hitters went deep in counts, what he did show was an ability to just get outs when he needed to make the pitches. He mixed all of his pitches on the day and grinned through 5 shutout innings. The breaking ball was 66-72 with a 2-7 shape and mixed in a change as well. Offensively, the left-handed hitter takes a simple approach with little pre-pitch movement, hands load back, short stride. Level barrel path through the zone generates hard line drive contact.

5-foot-10, 178-pound, LHP had his velocity down from what we saw in the spring, which is typical for a bullpen session. Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, some physical projection. Pitches from a full wind-up from the middle of the rubber into a ¾ to H ¾ release. Rhythm delivery with a setting of the back foot, timing varies. Quick arm w/ some effort in the throw. FB shows short arm-side run. Tight medium downer CB profiles as a potential out pitch w/ late bite. CH moves like a screwball, big velocity differential w/ late fade and sink. Around the zone, can be a bit of a thrower at times. Projects to command as he repeats his delivery consistently.
6/27/18 - 60 Time: 7.04, Position Velocity: OF-83, Exit Velocity: 81
5-foot-10, 178-pound, LHH showed an intriguing all-around skill-set with the potential to play CF. Medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, some physical projection. Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ hand rhythm into leg kick to square and proper load. Appears to be under-striding and creating a difficult attack angle for himself. Gaining some ground in his leg kick should free up the hands to go to work. Generates bat speed through the zone. All fields, line-drive oriented approach when right. Learning how to consistently utilize lower half. Projectable above average runner. In the OF, moves well w/ easy carry through target arm strength.
