6/14/17 - H-1B: 4.48, Position Velocity: 84, Exit Velocity: 82 5’11, 165-pound, RHH came onto the scene last summer, but made a statement with his performance at this year’s Top Prospect Games. Livesay moves very athletically and has a quickness that allows him to do a lot of things on the field. At the plate, he uses a toe-tap and stride that can throw off his timing on occasion, but is able to recuperate and has no trouble getting the barrel to the ball. Livesay has quick hands and is able to spray the ball to all fields. Defensively, he moves aggressively in the outfield with confidence and can play through the ball quickly. Livesay’s arm works very well and whips through with a quickness that suggests a potential jump in velocity in the years to come. In game play, he went 2-3 with a double and a walk in game play.
9/4/16 - Home-1st: 4.61, Position Velocity: OF-83, Exit Velocity: 76 5-foot-10, 150-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and even stance and begins with some fairly high hand positioning, uses a toe-tap and stride with barely any hand movement back to get loaded, lower half comes forward but doesn’t always clear his hips, hands come into the zone at a steep angle because of where they start but flatten out toward the end, hit some hard line drives to LF in BP, likes to pull. Defensively, plays an aggressive outfield and has no problem attacking and playing through the ball, uses his athleticism well, good hands and footwork led to a usually clean exchange and a long arm action through an over-the-top slot that produced very accurate throws with good carry and arm strength. Livesay is definitely a 2020 to keep an eye on as he develops.
