6-foot-2, 180-pound outfielder has lean, twitchy frame with great projection to build upon. Expected to be the everyday CF for the Chargers and hit in the heart of the lineup. Reports of running 6.3-6.4 range at the team's scout day, and can really go get it in the outfield with above average arm strength. At the dish, relaxed, slightly open stance with toe tap rhythm from the left side. Generates good bat speed and the barrel drags in the zone, leading to more consistent hard contact. Knack for barrel, spraying the ball to all fields, but looking to drive the ball into the gaps and pick up extra bases with legs. Balanced approach the plate with 1:1 K/BB ratio last year and limits chase out of the zone, but expecting improved power production in 21' and has the tools to do it.
8/11/18 - 60 Time: 6.84, Position Velocity: OF-86, Exit Velocity: 84 6-foot-1, 172-pound, LHH continues to tease his all-around skill-set, working out very similarly to how he looked at the East Tennessee event. Tall, athletic frame, long and lanky w/ well-proportioned lean strength, super projectable. Offensively, hits w/ an open, upright stance w/ short hand rhythm into stride to square and proper load. Generates bat speed through the zone w/ proper loft. Lot of line drives to all fields when right. As he adds muscle to his frame, will begin to realize some of his untapped offensive potential. Shows ability to drive the baseball to his pull-side, has some unlocked pull power. Projectable above average runner. Defensively, moves well in the OF w/ CF profile and easy arm strength w/ carry through target.
6/27/18 - 60 Time: 6.84, Position Velocity: OF-88, Exit Velocity: 83 6-foot-1, 150-pound, LHH showcased an intriguing all-around skill-set. Medium, athletic frame, long and lanky w/ lean strength, super projectable. Offensively, hits w/ an open, very slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into stride to square and proper load. Generates bat speed through the zone. Swing works w/ proper path, waiting on frame development to begin driving the baseball. Top of the order tools w/ speed and ability to drive the baseball gap to gap. Projectable pull power. Plus runner. Defensively moves well in the OF w/ plus arm strength. Tools to be a high-level defensive OF at the next level.
