Sturdy 5-foot-11 210 pound frame with a strong lower halffor the RHP. Sets up and works from the glove side of the rubber; steady build up of tempo. Belt high leg drive, long, clean arm action from a standard 3/4 slot. Arm showed some quickness to and FB featured arm-side action. Around the zone with feel for change and curveball. Foundation is there, additional velo gains and improved finish to delivery will push him in the right direction.
6/13/17 - Max FB: 77, FB: 73-77, CB: 60-61, 5-foot-11, 200-pound, RHP shows a simple motion with a consistent rhythm and seems to never get ahead of himself. Generates some slight shoulder tilt with his leg lift and strides in line with a balanced and low-effort delivery. Fastball was mostly straight but could certainly become more effective if kept down in the zone consistently. Curveball showed 11/5 shape with gradual movement through the zone.
2/12/17 - 60 Time: 8.42, Position Velocity: IF-76, Exit Velocity: 75 5-foot-11, 200-pound, RHH hits from a slightly wider and even stance with his hands pointing the barrel back slightly, uses a shift back with his body and a short stride to get loaded, lower half gets his hips through but glides forward to create a drift and a drag of his hands, bat path is steep into the zone and through contact, does seem to find the barrel. Defensively, showed average hands and footwork at the corner, could play through the ball more smoothly and with confidence, arm action was shorter through a high ¾ release point.
