8/19/18 - Home-1st: 4.88, Pop Time: 2.13-2.19, Position Velocity:  C-76, Exit Velocity: 91
5-foot-10, 178-pound, RHH showed an intriguing combination of power and knack for contact, recording 0 swing and misses on 10 swings.  Medium, stocky frame w/ present lower half strength, close to mature build.  Prototypical catcher frame.  Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into toe tap and short hand load.  Generates above average bat speed through the zone.  Simple, repeatable swing w/ knack for contact.  Pull oriented approach w/ natural loft.  Chokes up and shortens his load and stride w/ 2 strikes.  Projectable pull power.  Defensively, presents a solid target, knee-level to the hitter.  Can open his glove a bit more, present it just a hair lower to make it easier to get under the baseball.  Moves well behind the plate, shows ability to box the baseball.  Quiet receiver w/ strong fore-arms allows him to stick the baseball.  Tools to be above average defender.  As a thrower, shows solid release and footwork w/ slight cocking action of the arm and carry to target arm strength.
1/29/17 - Home-1st: 4.79, Pop Time: 2.05-2.22, Position Velocity:  C-72, Exit Velocity: 79
5-foot-8, 170-pound, RHH hits from a balanced and even stance, uses an abbreviated leg kick with a slight movement back of his hands that stands up the barrel to get loaded, lower half tries to work and does keep him balanced but fails to clear his hips to create separation, bat path is mostly flat through the zone and sometimes tried to show some lift, comes around the ball and yanks it to pull side quite a bit.  Defensively, showed above-average hands and pretty good footwork behind the plate, gets squared up through a solid exchange and leads to a short arm action that comes through a high ¾ slot.
