5-foot-11, 165-pound, LHP had a strong first PBR event, touching 87 twice while generating a stupid swing and miss rate of 57 % (4 of 7), including 3 of 4 on the FB. Medium, athletic frame w/ high-waist, well-proportioned lean strength. Super projectable, has just scratched the surface of his frame potential. Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ to ¾ release from the third base side of the rubber. Super quick arm w/ easy arm action. Throws across his body, learning to utilize lower half to keep arm on time, tendency to miss to his arm side as the arm plays catch-up. Timing was better in his 2nd inning of work. Repeatable mechanics. Some deception, downhill plane. FB shows arm-side run, occasional sink. Tight, short downer CB w/ slurve life. Flashes late bite, put-away pitch potential. CH w/ arm-speed, fade and sink. Sprayed the zone with his stuff in his first inning of work, threw 8 of 11 pitches for strikes in his 2nd inning. Delivery to command.
