The 5-foot-11, 185-pound uncommitted backstop had a nice weekend at the Lakepoint Fall Invite, handling much of the catching duties for BC Athletics 2021 and hitting in the middle of the order. Balanced, simple stance with moderate leg kick while maintaining rhythm. Generates plenty of bat speed while barreling up some balls this weekend, including his deep fly out that traveled 340 ft into the left-CF gap and came off the bat at 90.4 mph. Flashes of the gap-to-gap power and solid hit tool. Defensively, quiet behind the plate, using swift footwork and good arm strength to gun down a runner trying to take third on Saturday.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound catcher/third baseman was impressive all around in his PBR debut. At third base, solid hands and footwork with plenty of arm strength (86 mph), which carries over to the plate with event best 1.91-1.99 Pop Time. At the plate, ample bat speed (Avg: 69.2 Max: 75) and solid rotation with consistent connection at impact, leading to spray chart of line drives (Max Projected. Distance: 342 ft). Some more load consistency should take him over the hump offensively. Nice addition to the 21’ class uncommitted group.

C/3B, (2021) Lenoir City, TN. 5-foot-11, 185-pound mature frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter showed power in the box with an exit velocity of 90 mph. Starts in a wide stance with a big load, then uses a leg kick. Bat speed was quick, displayed flat swing plane and level finish. Through his round he found multiple barrels. Behind the plate, showed his ability to throw runners out with an efficient pop time of 1.91-1.99, showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 86 mph; has soft hands and a packing exchange. His best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 78 mph; clean exchange. Had flexible setup. Had consistent accuracy to the bag with an-over-the-top slot.
