2/14/20: A redshirt junior due to Tommy John surgery during the middle of his sophomore season, Jensen comes into this season unranked, but is certainly a Top 350 talent. Still recovering from TJ last spring, he was limited to just five innings in 2019. However, 2020 looks to be another story as Jensen came out of the gate strong for the Waves. He received the opening day nod on the bump and did not disappoint with a five-inning, 79-pitch outing. He allowed two runs on three hits, issued a pair of walks and struck out six. His competitiveness and poise on the mound are obvious and showed a real good idea of how to pitch mixing an 88-92 mph sinker with a solid average 82-85 mph slider and above average changeup. The change was thrown with good arm speed and finished at the plate with circle action to his arm side. He found his good change-of-pace in the second inning and went to it often, especially against left-handed hitters. He repeated his delivery with a slight cross-fire action and good arm action from a high three-quarter slot. Overall, his injury history with TJ surgery may deflate his draft value slightly, but he showed Day Two talent on this look.
