6.13.15:  Collins hits from the right side and has a square stance with a slight crouch. He is very short to the ball and stays inside it with quick enough hands to drive it to either gap. He has gap power to all fields and decent speed. Defensively, he has good range and enough arm to play shortstop. He is athletic and very good footwork approaching the ball.

11/8/14:  Collins is a 6-foot-1, 165-pound, third baseman that hit from a tall balanced stance.  Has a quiet rhythm, with a short stride and balance throughout the swing. Has a smooth load back with a slight arm bar and bat wrap but takes a direct path to the ball with his hands. Explosive lower half, line drive approach, stays behind the baseball, leverage in swing, creates backspin.  Had an exit velocity of 84 mph off of the tee. In the field, Collins was athletic, Moved well laterally, and showed average arm strength with a positional velocity of 77 mph. Showed soft hands, good feet, and took good angles to the baseball.
