LaPrade is 6-1 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open athletic stance, strides closed, smooth load back to a wrap. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Keeps hands inside, short and quick to ball. Slightly uphill swing path, showed a pull preference but also has the ability to work gap to gap, exit velocity was 81. In the infield, quick feet, rounds ball and fields with a good wide base and soft hands. Works through ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a short fast arm action, infield velocity was 86. Ran a 7.33 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot with a short free arm action that is quick, normal effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are level and closed, lands on line with an athletic finish. Fastball 76-79, touching 80, with some late run. Curveball was 67-69 with good armspeed and hard late 11/5 break.
