Hodges is 5-10 with an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an athletic stance, short stride on line, short load back, hips rotate completely with some explosion, good balance to swing. Uphill swing path with extension through the ball, showed pull preference, line drive swing, exit velocity was 78. At short, active feet, rounds ball and fields with above average hands, low three quarters arm slot, position velocity was 79. On the mound, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a very short free arm action and normal effort. Drop and drive, shoulders closed and level, lands square with a slight fall off finish. Fastball was 77-79, touching 80 with some downward plane. Curveball was 69-70 with gradual 11/5 break and some armspeed.
