6.23.15 Lawson has a lanky frame and throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a smooth tall and fall delivery. He breaks his hands late and has a short arm action. His shoulders are level and on line as he strides out to a square landing with his front foot open before coming to an athletic finish. Lawson’s fastball ran 75-77, touching 78, and had hard run to it when it was down in the zone. His slider was sharp with 10/4 action and decent armspeed, running 65-68. He also threw a sinking changeup for strikes with decent armspeed in the 69-72 range.
