Athletic build standing around 5-foot-11. Athletic setup at the plate with a small leg kick landing on line. Hands are short to the ball ball with a flat path and some uphill finish. Showed ability to barrel the ball up while facing above average velocity. Hit a grand slam out of left field in the third and a lead off double in the fifth to deep right field, displaying ability to use all fields. Is an athletic defender that takes great angles and has a good first step in the infield covering ground laterally.

11.5.17: Mazey is 5-11 with an athletic frame, he hits from the right side from an open athletic stance. Leg kick stride on line, smooth load back, good rhythm to his swing. Explosive lower half, good weight shift and some balance to his swing. Short and quick to the ball, whippy bat, extends through the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing, showed good approach working gap to gap, has barrel awareness, exit velocity was 86. At short, quick clean feet, works around the ball and plays through it. Fields with a wide base and soft hands. Clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short arm action that is free, infield velocity was 77. Ran a 7.14 60 yard dash.

10.31.17:  Room to add more in his 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame. Hits from an athletic, squatty, slightly open set up at the plate. Has quick hands at the plate with a shorter, level bat path and some bat speed. Has sound actions from the short stop position. Like to see work thru ball more, especially on throws across the diamond. Interesting athlete. 4.49 home-to-first.
