Cervantes is 6-0 with a strong athletic frame. He hits from the left side from an open athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, uphill swing with strength at contact and good extension through the ball, power is present, exit velocity of 91. In the infield, gets body behind ball to fields with with average hands, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 74. On the mound, he throws from a very high three-quarters arm slot with long free arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands open with an athletic finish and recoil. Fastball was 77-79 with some late run to it. Curveball had some armspeed and was 60-62 with gradual 1/7 break. Change-up had some armspeed and was 62-63 with fade to it.
