7.26.17: Briggs is 5-8 with an athletic frame, hits from a slightly open athletic stance. Short leg kick stride on line, smooth load back and some rhythm to swing. Full hip rotation and good balance to swing. Works uphill through the ball with extension, pull preference, exit velocity was 70. At short, quick, clean feet, fields ball with a good base and soft hands. Clean exchange, works through the ball, throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action, infield velocity was 70. Ran a 7.28 60 yard dash. On the mound, drop and drive delivery, throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a longer arm action and normal effort. Shoulders are level and on line, lands open with a fall off finish. Fastball was 68-69, touching 70, with a bit of late run to it. Curveball was 57-61 with sharp 11/5 break and good armspeed. Change-up was 61-63 with good armspeed and fading action.
