3.30.16: McDyre has an athletic frame and is a smooth fielder with soft hand and a loose arm. He hits from the right side from an athletic stance with a short leg kick stride and slight load back. He has a good lower half with good balance throughout his swing, generating good bat speed. McDyre is short to the ball with good extension through it. He uses the whole field with a line drive approach and has gap power to all fields.
6.13.15: McDyre was again very good defensively at shortstop, and while he does not have elite range, he positions himself well and has good footwork, great hands, and a good arm. At the plate, he has gap power to all fields and will hit the ball where it is pitched, doubling to deep right off of Lipcius in the Championship game.
6.6.15: McDyre is an athletic infielder with a good frame. At the plate, he hits from the right side with a square stance, a slight crouch, and a high bat. He has a short stroke and a quick bat with line-drive to gap power. In the field he has decent athleticism and good first-step quickness to go with a hose that was on display on a slow three-hopper in the hole.
