Harkness is 6-1 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, some strength at contact with extension through the ball, showed a primarily pull approach with the ability to use the whole field, exit velocity was 90. In the infield, rounds the ball and fields with a good wide base and above average hands, works through the ball to a quick clean exchange, throws a three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 74. On the mound, he throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Drop and drive, shoulders are uphill and closed, lands open with an athletic finish. Fastball was 75-77, touching 78, with heavy late armside run that also gets some two-plane acction. Curveball was 61-64 with some armspeed and gradual 10/4 break to it. Change-up was 70-71 with good armspeed and armside run to it.
