6.23.15 Kisner has an athletic frame and throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with an explosive drop and drive delivery. He has a long arm action and a quick armstroke that generates velocity with some effort. His shoulders are uphill and on line and he lands square before coming to an athletic finish. Kisner’s fastball sat 80, touching 82, and had slight run to it and very good plane. He threw a late, sharp 12/6 curveball with good armspeed that ran 66-69. His changeup was thrown with full armspeed and had armside run, sitting 73-75. Kisner also threw a splitter with late 12/6 dive to it and good armspeed that ran 69-70. He showed good command of all of his pitches at the bottom of the strike zone. Offensively, hit from a balanced and athletic stance. Loaded back with a slight arm bar. Rhythm was stiff at times. Short stride with an inward turn with knee. Average lower half turn to the baseball. Maintained good balance throughout his swing. Showed average bat speed with an exit velocity of 78 mph. Had a good approach to the round with a short and level swing path that should result in consistent line drives. In the field, threw from a high ¾ arm slot that was short and loose. Throws showed some accuracy and carry. Had a positional velocity of 81 mph. Showed athleticism that played through the ball with soft hands. Natural infielder with footwork was quick and fluid. Had good feet with good actions that should result in a good defensive player. Exchanges were clean.
