11/2015: Committed to VMI

5.18.16: Clines’ fastball was 81-84 the entire outing, touching 85 once. His curveball was 67-68 and he threw a tight slider that was more of a cutter, running 71-75. He struggled with his command more than usual, but battled and didn’t get flustered.
4.8.16:  Clines has an athletic frame and throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a smooth tall and fall delivery. His arm action is short, loose and quick, generating velocity with normal effort. His shoulders are closed and uphill as he strides to a square, athletic landing. His fastball has a lot of downward plane with some late run, he worked the entire game 80-83, touching 84-85 a few times early in the game. His changeup had heavy sink with very good armspeed, running 74-77. His curveball had late, gradual 1/7 action, running 69-72. He has very good command and feel of his fastball/changeup combination.
