5.1.17: Athletic frame, behind the plate short arm action from a high three-quarters arm slot, quick release, between inning pop times were 2.00-2.12, threw a 2.03 in game, throws to second showed some accuracy. At the plate, athletic stance, short level swing that can get uphill at times, pull approach. Had an exit velocity of 93 on a single in his first at-bat and homered to left later in the game.

He is short to the ball with good extension and showed a good approach, working the middle of the field. He has a line drive stroke with some doubles power that could increase as he matures. Behind the plate, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a loose, above average arm. His pop times between innings were 1.97-2.10 and he threw 2.09 in game to the corner of the bag. He is very agile with his blocking, covering a lot of ground laterally.
