Strong projectable frame at 6-foot-4/6-foot-5. Simple repeatable mechanics that showed some flow to them. Slight drop in the backside and drive down the mound landing slightly closed. Longer arm action and throws from a higher three-quarter arm slot. Fastball sat between 81-84 mph on the day. Curveball had 11/5 shape and was a little loose with break and command early, but it came together as the game progressed and was much firmer and tighter in break. The curveball velocity stayed between 72-75 mph throughout the day. The changeup was a very nice secondary pitch with fastball arm speed and intent. Stewart gave trouble to lefties all day with this pitch and had a feel for it early on at 75-77 mph.
3.21.17: Hits from a taller, square set up at the plate. Longer swing path with some backside drive. Shows some bat speed and should continue to develop as he gets older. Quiet receiver behind the plate. Handles himself well.
