Simonik is 5-9 with a very lanky frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He throws from a higher three-quarters arm slot, breaks long before tightening to a short free arm action with normal effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are uphill and closed, lands closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 69-72, with some downward plane and a bit of late armside run to it. Curveball was 55-59 with good armspeed and big gradual 12/6 break to it.
