Robbins has a solid 5-foot-11 frame. The now Averett commit has always shown to be a solid offensive piece and did not do anything to change that on Thursday. Bat to ball skills and higher contact rate. Gap to gap doubles swing that has shown some occasional power to the pull side. Robbins had a couple of nice at bats on the day. Had an RBI single up the middle, walked twice, and had an absolute laser into left center that was tracked down for an out. At the plate it is an easy level path swing that is fairly short to contact and creates nice extension out front with some uphill finish. The biggest question is where will he fit defensively at the next level. Starts behind the plate for Manchester. Is an average receiver, above average blocker, with the biggest area of need in order to contribute big innings behind the plate at the next level is arm strength. The arm has some accuracy around the bag with average arm strength, but will need to increase in order to stick behind the plate at the next level. Is athletic enough to contribute at first base or possibly corner outfield.

Robbins is 5-11 with an athletic frame that has strength present and some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing, showed a good approach working gap to gap, natural loft in his swing, exit velocity was 85. Behind the plate, quick clean exchange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 70 and pop times 2.00-2.15. Showed some accuracy on his throws.
