Roberts is 6-1 with a lanky athletic frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, short smooth load up and back to a wrap. Hips rotate completely with violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, uphill swing path with extension through the ball, showed a good approach working primarily gap to gap with natural loft in his swing, power potential present, exit velocity was 85. Behind the plate, clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 74 and pop times 2.14-2.35. Showed accuracy on his throws. Receiving, works from one knee or in a deep stance, shows some sway. Ran a 4.51 home to first. On the mound, he throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short loose arm action with easier effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are level and closed, lands slightly open with an athletic finish. Fastball was 75-78, touching 79, with a bit of late armside run. Curveball was 67-68 with good armspeed and sharp 10/4 break to it. Change-up was 67-71 good armspeed and some late fading action to it.
