Baker is 5-10 with an athletic frame that has some strength present in the lower half and plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load up and back to a wrap. Hips rotate and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, showed a pull approach, exit velocity was 83. In the infield, rounds the ball and fields with average hands, works through the ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 74. Ran a 7.42 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, shorter free arm action and higher effort to his delivery. Drop and drive crossfire delivery, shoulders are slightly uphill and closed, lands closed with a fall off finish and recoil. Fastball was 72-75, with boring action to armside. Curveball was 61-63 with some armspeed and gradual 11/5 break to it. Change-up was 66-67 with good armspeed and late sink.
