Allen is 6-2 with a 220 pound strong, physical frame. He throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short free quick arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are level and closed, lands closed with a fall off finish with some recoil. Fastball was 75-80, touch 81, with downward angle and some boring action to armside, gets some cut when thrown to glove side. Slider was 74-75 with some armspeed and hard late 11/5 break to it.
