6.27.17:  Ray is 6-2 with an athletic frame that he can add to. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, big leg kick stride and a smooth load down, good rhythm to swing. Explosive lower half and some balance to his swing. Very short to the ball with quick hands, extends through it well, works slightly uphill and has a bit of a pull approach to his line drive swing, exit velocity was 94. In the outfield, clean footwork, gets behind ball well and plays through it, above average hands. Clean exchange, short arm action from a three-quarters arm slot, outfield velocity was 83. Behind the plate, sways some to get behind ball, holds ball in front well. Clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short loose arm action, showed some accuracy to throws. Pop times were 2.03-2.16, catcher velocity was 75.
10.31.15 Hit from a athletic, balanced stance that was slightly open on the front side.  Smooth load back with a slight arm bar.  Utilized an inward front knee turn to generate power in the lower half.  Lower half was explosive.  Stride was on-line.  Excellent balance.  Really physical.  Impressive strength for age.  Fluid rhythm.  Strong hands.  Excellent bat speed with an exit velocity of 88 mph off of the tee.  Took an advanced approach throughout the day.  Had a short, level bat path.  Great extension.  Line drive stroke.  Has all of the tools to be a major power threat at the next level.  Behind the plate, threw from a H3/4 arm slot with a long arm action.  Arm tended to drift behind his head on throws.  Throws had carry in game.  Athletic behind the pate.  Feet could be more consitent.  Exchange from glove to hand was quick.  Big target.  Hands were above average as a receiver.
