Fall Invite 11/42018
Toe tap to stride and hands drop on the load. Utilizes the backside well while finishing in an upright position with head behind contact. Behind the plate gets a little tall coming out of the hole on exchange. Throws are pretty consistently around the bag. Although there is a lack of elite arm strength, the quick exchange and short arm action make up for it.
NOVA Fall Review 9/22/18
Yost is 6-1 with an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, short load down, hips rotate completely, he maintains good balance during his swing. Short to ball, level line drive swing with some uphill extension through the ball, showed pull approach, exit velocity was 77. Behind the plate, gains ground towards second on exchange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 67 and pop times were 2.25-2.44.
