Garner projects well with an athletic 6-foot-2 and 186-pound frame that has some present strength to it and room to add more. Athletic and slightly open stance that lands on line with minimal hand movement throughout the load. After landing the head stays quiet and controlled throughout the swing. Barrel enters the zone early and is quick through it with a level path. Stays connected through extension and rotates completely. A lot of controlled line drive intent behind the swing and posted a top exit velocity of 94 mph. Garner showed plenty of athleticism in the field and a solid run tool with a laser timed 7.18 60-yard dash. In the infield the feet are fluid and active while working around the baseball. Fields the ball on the left side of his body with above average glove skills and easily works through the baseball with a clean exchange. Posted a top infield velocity of 80 mph with a short and smooth arm action from a three-quarter slot. In the outfield Garner has a smooth and controlled approach to the ball. Breaks down early and fields the ball out in front while working through the baseball.Throws with a full arm circle and topped at 84 mph from a three-quarter slot.

VA/DC PreSeason All-State Central
Garner is 6-1 with a lankier athletic 183 pound frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path with strength at contact and some extension through the ball, showed good approach working gap to gap, swing generates carry in the gaps and extra base power is present with potential for more in the future, exit velocity was 93. In the infield, rounds ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands, works through the ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, short loose arm action, position velocity was 79. Showed versatility taking balls in the outfield as well. Ran a 7.24 60 yard dash.
