Journette is 6-2 with an athletic 220 pound frame that has strength present and some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, uphill swing path with a lot of strength at contact and extension through the ball, showed a good approach working primarily gap to gap, power present to all fields, swing generates a lot of natural loft and carry, also shows ability to get on top of the baseball and hit line drives, exit velocity was 106. In the infield, rounds ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands, works through the ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short loose quick arm action, position velocity was 88. Ran a 6.96 60 yard dash.

Preseason All-State II

Jounette is 6-2 with a strong athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open upright stance, leg kick stride on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Keeps hands inside, strong at contact with extension through the ball, uphill swing path, exit velocity was 100. In the infield, rounds the ball and fields with average hands. Clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters slot, short arm action, velocity was 81. Ran a 4.14 home to first.
