Jacob Laroche: OF/LHP, (2027) Essex, VT. 5-foot-6, 125-pound slim athletic build. Athletic and projectable at the plate, Laroche had a max exit velocity of 77 mph. (62.7 mph bat speed average). (18.2 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a small load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is developing, displays an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. During his round he produced some loud contact and found some barrels. Gap to gap approach. Athletic projectable from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 75 mph; shows developing soft hands, a natural exchange, and developing athletic feet. Movements laterally were developing athletically and he fields the ball out front. Used a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag.
