Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
6-foot, 198-pound right-handed pitcher. He showed very well at the event for me. The arm is clean and free. The fastball sat 77-78 mph with downhill action at times. The changeup is 70-71 mph with solid action to it. The delivery has crossfire to the feet and the slot is directly over the top. The lift is methodical and the process is deliberate. The post foot is on top of the rubber leading to slight forward lean. The extension at release is solid as he should throw hard at he matures in age.
2/02/20
6-foot-, 180-pound right-handed pitcher and right-handed hitting shortstop. Ran a 7.8 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is athletic and on point. The glove is soft and he works through the process. Threw 74 mph across the diamond. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 78 mph. The setup is wide in base, uses a small pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches. The path is simple and flat to contact. Good hands and swing. On the mound, the fastball sat 75-76 mph, arm side action to the pitch. The spin pitch is 65-67 mph, needs additional fastball hand speed added to it. The changeup is a developing pitch. The delivery has crossfire to the feet and slightly above 3/4 in slot. The top half stays closed to foot strike and the arm works clean. Good looking prospect.
