One of the youngest players on the roster, Berg played a pivotal role as a FR outfielder late in the season for Olympia as they took home the 4A Washington State Championship. Offensively, he has the presence of a polished veteran at the plate with terrific pitch recognition skills, strike zone disciple and barrel control. Capable of spraying the ball to all fields and working counts, Berg has a quick left-handed stroke with easy hand speed and relaxed actions. Although it was a quiet showing offensively in terms of output, in 3 games he generated 5 freebies and showed the ability to recognize high level pitching. Defensively he’s a stout outfielder with crisp routes and an accurate arm. He contributed on the mound as well with a 3 pitch mix from the left-side and the ability to mix his offerings. Look for Berg to be one of the toughest outs in the state in 2023.
