Stener Kvinsland, Kamiakin (WA), 2028
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 6-2, 180-pounds.
Delivery: Works from a semi wind-up, with feet shifted to the far first base side of the rubber; the toes are shifted to a 45° angle and pointed down the third base line, and both feet shoulder width apart. Work slow through the windup before coming set with the hands at the chin; the front leg then lifts into the throw along with the hands working in unison. Weight shifts down the mound as the hips coil over the back leg, the front leg breaks down the mound, along with the hands breaking into the throw. The front leg works into a long stride down the mound, landing with a minimal bend in the leg, causing the upper half to whip over the top of the front leg. After the throw, the trail leg comes coiling back over the front leg and momentum carries to the first base line.
Arm Action: RH. The hands work up to above the letters with separation of the body before breaking into the throw; the throwing arm works down and behind the hip before coming up to a 3/4 arm release.
FB: T90, 88-89 mph. T2414, 2325 average rpm.
CB: 68-70 mph. T2233, 2172 average rpm.
CH: 75-79 mph. T1482, 1434 average rpm.
ATH: 7.25 runner in the 60. 1.72 and 4.02 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 19.30 max vertical.
6/24/26
Stener Kvinsland, Kamiakin (WA), 2028
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 6-2, 180-pounds.
Hit: RHH. The hands are set neck high, stacked over the back knee, and the knob pointed down in the direction of the other batter's box. The feet are set more than shoulder width apart, with an open front foot, and wait even on both feet. Simple, repeatable mechanics: the hands load together with the front leg lift. As the front leg lifts into the load, the hands work off the shoulder and back into the load; weight shifts back over the rear leg, causing the hip to coil. The front foot then strides into the swing; the front foot lands, then the hips flip open into the swing, which pulls the hands through the zone, meeting the ball out front with uphill contact. Ending with a controlled two-handed follow-through.
Power: 95 max exit velocity, averaged 81.5 mph. 347' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-95 mph. Catches the ball one handed before gathering at the letters; the hands break into the throw, with the throwing arm working back behind the hip before coming up to a 3/4 arm release.
Defense: Starts in an athletic stance with hands resting on the thighs; on contact with the ball, the first step is backwards, working body position under the ball with controlled footwork to catch, then shuffle feet to the target. Comfortable Fielding ground balls near center frame for handed, both off the ground and off the bounce.
ATH: 7.25 runner in the 60. 1.72 and 4.02 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 19.30 max vertical.
